Dr. Paul is CEO, President, and Director of MARAbio, a precision immunology biotechnology company that is commercializing groundbreaking technologies to detect Maternal Autoantibody Related Autism (MARA), an autoimmune subtype of autism associated with more severe forms of the condition. Prior to his appointment as MARAbio’s CEO, Dr. Paul co-founded Lineagen, Inc. in 2006, where he served as President, CEO, and Director from the company’s start up to commercial growth and through its strategic acquisition in 2020. He earned a BA from Colby College and went on to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Utah.

Dr. Paul has been recognized as one of Utah’s leading entrepreneurs, for which he was appointed to the Utah Technology Industry Commission by former Governor Michael O. Leavitt. He has also served as Vice Chairman for the Utah Technology Council. Dr. Paul was a finalist for E&Y’s 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year award and was named a “Utah 100 Winner” by MountainWest Capital Network.
