Branding the Life Sciences Industry in Utah
The BioHive is made up of all life sciences and digital health companies, service providers that support the industry, academic institutions, and health care delivery systems in the State of Utah. BioHive’s objective is to brand the life sciences industry in Utah by telling our story both within the state and nationally.
What is it?
BioHive is an initiative chartered by BioUtah to brand the life sciences industry in Utah.
Who is a part?
A thriving collective of more than 1,100 Utah life sciences companies, digital health companies, service providers that support the industry, academic institutions, and health care delivery systems.
Membership
Membership is free. You are already a part of the BioHive if you fit the descriptions previously provided.
Governance
While BioHive is charted by BioUtah, it is governed by an 11-member public/private board.
Purpose
Telling the story of one of the nation’s fastest growing life sciences hub to Utah, the Nation and the world.
Collective Impact
Supported by partners such as the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, World Trade Center Utah, EDC Utah and Utah Governor’s Economic Opportunity.

How is it Funded?
Donations to the BioHive effort are voluntary and separate from BioUtah fees and membership. Some funding is provided from partners and the Utah legislature.
