World Trade Center Utah and Governor’s Office of Economic Development Invite You to the 2019 Europe Trade Mission

World Trade Center Utah, partnered with the Governer’s Office of Economic Development, is organizing an international trade mission to Italy and France this summer. The trade mission, led by Governor Gary R. Herbert, will take place from June 14-22, 2019. The event will present a unique opportunity for life sciences companies to expand their footprint in European countries. The experience will include the chance to receive market specific business briefings by in-country experts and the U.S. Commercial Service, attend VIP receptions for business and government leaders, participate in company visits and take part in pre-arranged and customized B2B meetings. Based on analytics based on market research, GOED and the World Trade Center have determined that Life Sciences, Aerospace and Defense, and Energy are key industries to benefit from this trade mission. As such, we encourage any of our members who are hoping to expand their horizons internationally to register for this event. This trade mission will also be incorporated with the Paris Air Show!
Why Italy and France?
Both countries have demonstrated notable increases in their amount of purchases from Utah over the past three years, with an average of 18% annual growth in France and an 8% average annual growth in Italy. The US is France’s main foreign investor and has a presence in Italy’s economy, which is one of the largest economies in the European Union. These locations represent great potential in expanding Utah’s exports overseas.
*The deadline to apply for the trade mission is Wednesday, March 20, 2019. We encourage companies interested in Gold Key Services to register as soon as possible for best business-to-business matchmaking opportunities. As June is the highest tourism month in both Paris & Rome, we recommend applying as soon as possible to avoid expensive air travel and accommodations.
