
Utah Life Sciences Innovation Caucus Breakfast

Utah lawmakers on Aug, 19 attended a breakfast meeting of the Utah Life Sciences Innovation Caucus (ULSIC). BioUtah organized the gathering, where executives from GE Healthcare and 3Helix shared how their companies’ technologies are driving economic growth, attracting investment, and improving health.
Presentations were given by Jon Lea, advanced science & image quality manager for GE Healthcare, and Mike Kirkness, CEO of 3Helix. GE Healthcare’s Salt Lake City facility produces mobile C-arm imaging systems and adds $1.97B to Utah’s GDP. 3Helix, putting down roots in Heber City, develops active collagen hybrid peptides for tissue healing, drug delivery, and anti-aging skincare.
