UTAH LAUNCHES HEALTHY TOGETHER APP TO ASSESS, TRACE SPREAD OF COVID-19
April 27, 2020
On April 22, Governor Herbert announced a new mobile platform that will provide COVID-19 symptom tracking, connects users with testing, and augment current contact tracing mechanisms.
In releasing the app, the Governor said, “the more Utahns choose to use this application, the more clearly our public health teams will be able to see exactly where, and whom the virus is infecting. In time, this will allow us to address outbreaks with a focused approach instead of widespread stay-at-home directives.”
“This app is part of the Governor’s larger strategy to control the spread of COVID-19 and create a foundation from which to re-open Utah’s economy and safeguard our health.”
The app is free to download and voluntary. Strong firewalls have been put in place to protect the privacy of individual data. Healthy Together complies with state requirements for data security and encryption.
You can download Healthy Together in your app store, from coronavirus.utah.gov, or from healthytogetherutah.com.
