July 24, 2020
Last week, BioUtah News and Events, reported that a number of new grant programs established by the Utah State Legislature would be soon open for applications through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).
This week, detailed information on three of the programs, ComRent, Safe In Utah, and Shop In Utah have come online. In addition, this video or audio recording provides the latest information on the three programs.
The ComRent program provides subsidies of up to two months of rent for those affected by COVID-19. The Safe in Utah program subsidizes the purchase of PPE by Utah companies.
The ‘Shop In Utah’ grant program will begin accepting applications July 27. The program is designed for businesses to offer an incentive, to entice their customers. The incentive amount must equal at aggregate 50% of the grant award.
BioUtah is a partner in the governor’s larger #InUtah initiative aimed at supporting public health and restoring Utah’s economy.
