Taylor Randall inaugurated as President of University of Utah

April 7, 2022

On March 23, 2022, Taylor Randall was inaugurated as the 17th President of the University of Utah, formalizing his appointment last August by the Utah Board of Higher Education. President Randall previously served as Dean of the David Eccles School of Business.

Notable in his inaugural comments was his goal to allocate $100 million to translating research into useable technology – much of which is in the life sciences field. Clearly, President Randall recognizes the valuable contributions of life sciences research and the role played by the University of Utah in conducting important research.

Congratulations to President Randall! BioUtah and the state’s life sciences industry looks forward to working with you.
