Elevating Utah’s Bioscience Advantage at BIO 2026

June 25, 2026

BioUtah, alongside state and local partners, showcased Utah’s booming $22.6B+ life sciences sector at the BIO International Convention, June 22-25, at the San Diego Convention Center. Through the Utah Pavilion Exhibit, the delegation boosted the state’s global profile as a premier bioscience hub.

A number of meetings with entrepreneurs and companies interested in Utah’s bio ecosystem were held during the conference.

“The Pavilion provided the perfect opportunity to call attention to Utah’s unique advantages, including our pro-business environment and culture of invention,” said Kelvyn Cullimore, president and CEO of BioUtah.

Key Pavilion partners included the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Nucleus Institute who foster strategic infrastructure and collaboration to grow life sciences in the state.

State and local agencies like the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, World Trade Center Utah, The Point Utah, Salt Lake City Department of Economic Development, and Utah Inland Port Authority were also on hand to highlight Utah’s support for the industry and global reach.  In addition, the University of Utah Technology Licensing Office spotlighted the state’s academic research centers and tech transfer resources.
