BioUtah CEO, Kelvyn Cullimore, Makes the Rounds in DC
March 26, 2026
BioUtah President and CEO, Kelvyn Cullimore, is in Washington, D.C. this week to meet with elected officials to advocate on behalf of Utah’s life sciences industry. Cullimore met with all members of the Utah Congressional delegation – Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and John Curtis (R-UT), and Representatives Blake Moore (R-UT), Burgess Owens (R-UT), Celeste Maloy (R-UT), and Mike Kennedy (R-UT). Topics included support for legislation to streamline Medicare reimbursement for FDA-designated Breakthrough Products and SBIR funding. Cullimore raised concerns about the administration’s efforts to codify Most-Favored-Nation drug pricing – just another drug price control mechanism that will impede innovation and patient access to critical medicines.
“It was a pleasure meeting with the Utah delegation, who continue to show strong support for our industry’s policy priorities,” said Cullimore. “They are truly engaged partners, eager to learn more about the booming life sciences sector in Utah and responsive to our concerns.”
Cullimore, on March 25, also attended the National Symposium on Biotechnology, focusing on leveraging state and local strengths in biotechnology for national security.
