2022 Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur and Investor Life Sciences Summit is a Raging Success

The 2022 Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur and Investor Life Sciences Summit presented by BioUtah, BioHive and the PIVOT Center attracted a record setting 300+ registrants along with an impressive line-up of distinguished speakers, national and local investors and numerous Utah life sciences startups.
Now in its 7th year, the Summit (our first in person since COVID-19) continued its tradition of bringing together Utah’s life sciences leaders, entrepreneurs and the investor community. The “buzz” around our growing and vibrant BioHive was louder than ever!
The conference featured notable keynote speakers, including Jake Manoukian, Head of Investment Strategy for J.P. Morgan who shared his insights on market trends and life sciences investment, and Matt Vassar, Core Lecturer at Stanford University who provided a thought- provoking address on “Telling Your Story.”
Six companies through a competitive selection process advanced to the every popular Pitch Track session. Our first place winner Eliksa Therapeutics and Curavit Clinical Research are highlighted below, but all deserve a big round of applause.
Entrepreneurs explored federal non-dilutive funding options with one-on-one meetings with the Utah Innovation Center and G2G Consulting – a DC-based firm that tracks agency-wide federal grants.
Our lunch program was dedicated entirely to networking, so attendees, speakers and investors could make connections and learn more about each other.
We showcased a number of rising Utah companies while our targeted tracks offered an array of industry experts, mentors and life sciences professionals who topics such as raising capital and corporate governance.
We wrapped up the Summit with a fun day at Deer Valley. Ski enthusiasts shredded the mountain while others joined us for a fabulous lunch slope side – more than 70 total guests! It was a great way to continue conversations started at the Summit.
