Owlet is changing the future of wearable devices

Recently, Owlet’s smart sock was used in a study of infant tachyarrhythmia, a condition where the heart beats much more rapidly than it should be for the level of exertion, reports Utah Business Magazine. Untreated and undiagnosed tachyarrhythmias can cause symptoms of heart failure, or be a symptom of a larger heart issue.

The study revealed that these events were much more common than those found in previous studies, largely due to massive amounts of data generated by the smart sock.

Often, tachyarrhythmias in infants are difficult for doctors to identify. But now, Owlet’s data is changing that.
