Orion Medical Supplies specializes as a niche assembler and distributor of Harm Reduction medical devices across the UK and Europe. These devices are designed to mitigate the spread of blood-borne infections and overdose injuries. The company was acquired for $3.6 million, paid using cash reserves, following the decision of the previous owners to retire.

The transaction is expected to add approximately $6 million to the consolidated annual sales of Utah Medical Products. Management indicated the acquisition will provide a stable revenue stream and reduce overhead expenses as a percentage of UK sales by leveraging Femcare’s existing infrastructure and resources. Operations will be relocated to Femcare’s facilities in Romsey after a transition period.

CEO Kevin Cornwell described the move as a strategic fit, noting that the business is stable, profitable, and operates in a specialized market niche where distribution to customers can be leveraged.
