NanoKar Therapeutics Announces Formal Appointment of Craig Mosman as Chief Executive Officer

May 28, 2026

Salt Lake City, UT — May 28, 2026 — NanoKar Therapeutics, an early-stage biotechnology company developing intracellular signaling optimization technology for CAR-based cell therapies, today announced the formal appointment of Craig Mosman, JD, as Chief Executive Officer.

Mosman will lead NanoKar’s partnership strategy and translational data priorities as the company advances research from the University of Utah laboratory of Matt Bettini, PhD, toward a partner-ready cell therapy platform. His appointment reflects NanoKar’s next phase of work: building the evidence, relationships, and development path needed to position the company’s ITAM optimization platform for potential commercialization with CAR-T, cell therapy, and biopharmaceutical partners.

“I’ve been fortunate throughout my career to work closely with scientific discoveries at the point where they begin to move from possibility to application,” Mosman said. “Dr. Bettini and his team have developed a compelling platform, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help advance his work toward practical and rapid integration into existing and next-generation CAR-T programs. The goal is to give this discovery the strongest possible path to reach more patients over time.”

Mosman brings experience across biotechnology, genomics, molecular biology, global health, law, and entrepreneurship, with a track record of advancing early-stage technologies through strategic partnerships. Before NanoKar, he co-founded Seek Labs, where he held senior leadership roles spanning business development, legal affairs, intellectual property strategy, and strategic collaborations.

“Craig’s experience sits precisely at the intersection of science and strategic execution,” said Dr. Matt Bettini. “His ability to position emerging platforms for partnership makes him uniquely suited to lead NanoKar at this stage.”

NanoKar’s proprietary ITAM optimization platform is designed to tune intracellular CAR signaling to improve persistence, reduce toxicity, and expand the potential for efficacy in solid tumors. The platform is intended to integrate into existing and next-generation CAR architectures without requiring changes to antigen targeting, co-stimulation, or manufacturing workflows.

The company is advancing its preclinical platform, generating additional validation data, and engaging potential licensing, co-development, and strategic partners. Its pipeline includes programs across hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, including CD19, HER2, GD2, Nectin4, EGFRvIII, and B7-H3-directed approaches.
