2025 MedTech Conference Sponsored by AdvaMed
October 9, 2025
This week, AdvaMed held its annual Medtech Conference, designed for those in the medical technology industry. Several Utah companies were in attendance, including Edwards Lifesciences, Stryker, Renalytix, Turner Medtech, Photopharmics, PDV Medtech, Derek Wessman (Jataki, Bioiutah’s consultant for Japan), and the Center for Medical Innovation, to name a few. BioUtah President and CEO, Kelvyn Cullimore, moderated a panel with representatives from B.Braun, Cook Medical, and MassMedic on workforce solutions. Cullimore also leads the State Medical Technology Alliance (SMTA), an alliance of all state medtech trade associations sponsored by AdvaMed.
The conference covered a wide array of topics, including AI, FDA, reimbursement, international business, investor strategy, and more. There were over 100 educational sessions, 3,500 attendees, and 400 speakers from over 35 countries and 1700 companies represented. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mike Mussallem, who led Edwards Lifesciences for more than two decades. Edwards has significant operations in Utah. The conference was a great opportunity to network, get educated on important topics, and hear from leaders in the medtech sector. Mark your calendars for next year’s conference to be held in Boston, October 18-21, 2026.
