Based on technology licensed from Brigham Young University, Snow Canyon Therapeutics. located in Alpine, Utah has raised a seed round of funding to pursue development of small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Preliminary studies have shown success in cartilage remodeling as a possible mechanism of action that would reduce the number of joint replacements associated with osteoarthritis.

Headed up by Dave Blackwell, an entrepreneur with a degree in engineering and manufacturing from BYU, Snow Canyon is also working with Dr. David Kooyman, the inventor of the technology and a board of experienced life sciences advisors.
